Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy.
As an out-of-network provider, I offer a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of services upon request and/or prior to beginning treatment. This is meant to help you make informed decisions and avoid surprise billing.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that outlines:
The total expected cost of any non-emergency services, such as therapy sessions.
The frequency and duration of our work together (as agreed upon collaboratively).
Your right to dispute bills that are significantly higher than the estimate.
Estimated Cost of Services
Most clients attend therapy weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs. While the length of treatment varies, I will collaborate with you to determine a plan that feels supportive and sustainable.
Example Estimate:
Initial Session (60 minutes): $175
Ongoing Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $150 per session
Estimated Annual Cost (weekly sessions for 12 months): $XX–$XX
(This will vary depending on frequency, duration of treatment, and your specific goals.)
You will not be charged for any services without your prior consent, and you are welcome to pause or end therapy at any time.
