starting therapy: what to expect

Getting started can feel intimidating. Let’s look at what to expect, to put your mind at ease.

How It Works

1. Book a Free Consultation

Use the link below to book a 15-minute consult call so I can answer your questions and we can determine if therapy with me feels like the right fit.

2. Schedule an intake session

The intake session provides a safe, supportive space for me to learn about the challenges you’re facing and your goals for therapy. During this session, we will create a plan for moving forward.

3. Begin your journey

Through our work together, you'll deepen your connection to your inner world, foster lasting change, and move toward a more grounded, authentic way of being.

Insurance

I am in network with Kaiser, United Healthcare/ Optum, and sub-plans of United Healthcare. If you are unsure about insurance coverage, please contact your insurance provider or email me at Lindsey@SpandaMindBodyTherapy.com with your insurance details so I can verify your benefits prior to beginning our work together.

Copay or Coinsurance vary according to your plan.

While I am happy to check your benefits, insurance companies may provide inaccurate information or change coverage without notice. Because of this, it is your responsibility to know your coverage.

If your insurance company denies a claim or reverses a payment for any reason, you will be responsible for the remaining balance of services provided. Please note, some claims can take several months for insurance providers to finalize.

If I am not covered by your insurance and you have out-out of network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance provider. Upon request, I will provide a superbill, which can be submitted for reimbursement.

Please call your insurance company prior to scheduling to ensure they provide reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services.

forms of payment

I accept cash, check, all credit cards, Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
